What is a subscription?
Subscription is a powerful feature of UQ reSEARCHers that allows you to keep track of the latest information with minimal effort. Once you have subscribed, you are sent an email notification whenever new information is available in your subscribed categories. This might include individual researchers, a whole unit or a specific field of study.
You can access your subscriptions at any time by clicking Subscription on the left hand menu.
Registering with UQ reSEARCHers
The first step is to register your email address with UQ reSEARCHers. To do this, click Subscription on the left hand menu. If you are not yet a registered user, click Register with UQ reSEARCHers in the outlined box. Enter your details (mandatory fields are shown with an asterisk) then click Create. The email address you provide will be used to send notifications.
If you are already a registered user, click Subscription on the left hand menu and log in using your e-mail address and password.
Once you are logged in, three items are displayed:
- Update Your Details: Use this to change personal information including passwords and e-mail.
- Adding Subscriptions: Contains information on how to subscribe (see below)
- Remove Subscriptions: Displays current subscriptions and allows you to select and remove them.
After any changes you make, click Update at the bottom of the page to show the new settings.
Subscribing to Researcher and Unit Profiles
To subscribe to a profile, simply click the blue Subscribe to Profile button at the top right of any profile screen. If you have not yet logged in you will be asked to enter your email address and password. You can also register at this point if you have not already. You will then be returned to the profile and red text will then appear saying "Successfully subscribed to profile."
Subscribing to a Keyword Search
You can subscribe to updates on a particular keyword search. To do this, simply click the Subscribe to Keyword Search button that appears after the keyword search is completed.
